Custom Hevea Butcher Block Countertop, 42″ x 86″, Clear Finish

Custom Hevea Butcher Block Countertop, 42″ x 86″, Clear Finish
Every kitchen island has its own dimensions, and standard countertop sizes almost never match them. This project is a good example. The client needed a 42″ x 86″ island top, roughly 25 square feet, with an undermount sink cutout positioned exactly where their plumbing was already roughed in.
We built it in hevea butcher block with a clear finish, and we handled the entire project ourselves, from the raw panel through to the finished top sitting on the cabinets.
Why hevea works for kitchen countertops
Hevea, also known as rubberwood, is one of the most practical hardwoods for kitchen surfaces. It is dense enough to take daily use, it takes a finish evenly, and its light, uniform grain stays neutral against almost any cabinet color. In this kitchen it sits against soft sage cabinetry and white oak flooring, and the clear finish lets the natural tone carry the room instead of competing with it.
A clear finish also keeps the wood looking like wood. No stain, no color shift, just the grain with protection over the top.
What “from A to Z” actually means
When we say we handle everything, this is the list:
- Measuring and templating. We work from your real island dimensions, not a catalog size.
- Cutting to size. Any length, any width, any thickness we stock.
- Sink cutouts. Undermount or drop in, cut to your sink template and to your plumbing position.
- Cooktop and faucet cutouts. Cut and finished before delivery.
- Edge profiles. Square, eased, roundover, or bevel.
- Sanding and finishing. Clear food safe finish, oil finish, or a custom sheen.
- Sealing the cut edges. The cutouts get sealed too, which is where most wood tops fail first.
- Delivery and install. Across Florida, straight to the job site.
You do not need to coordinate between a supplier, a fabricator, and a finisher. It is one company, one point of contact, one delivery.
Who we work with
We supply homeowners, kitchen remodelers, cabinet shops, and general contractors. Contractors get wholesale pricing and repeat project support, and we can hold sizes for multi unit jobs.
Available species include hevea, acacia, oak, and walnut, in island slabs and standard counter depths.
