Butcher block is not one product

The wood you choose changes the price, the look and how the top ages.

Acacia gives you strong contrast and heavy grain movement. It is dense, it takes a finish well, and it is one of the best value options on the market right now.

Hevea (rubberwood) is the clean, light, even option. If your cabinets are dark and you want the counter to lift the room, this is usually the one.

Oak is the classic choice. Predictable grain, warm tone, and it holds up under daily use.

Walnut is the premium look. Deep chocolate tone, tight grain, and it makes an island the centerpiece of the kitchen.

Custom means custom

Standard slabs from a big box store come in a few fixed widths and lengths. That is fine if your kitchen happens to match. Most do not.

We cut to your measurements. That includes:

• Sink and cooktop cutouts
• Waterfall edges
• Bar tops and overhangs
• Bullnose, chamfer or square edge profiles

Finish is what protects your investment

An unfinished top will stain the first time someone leaves a wine glass on it. We finish every counter before it leaves us, and we walk you through the two real options.

Oil finish. Food safe, easy to repair, gives that soft matte look. Needs re oiling a few times a year.

Hardwax or polyurethane. More protection against water and heat, less maintenance, slightly more sheen. Better for households with kids and heavy daily cooking.

Florida humidity is real. A properly sealed top handles it. An unsealed one does not.
